Owl Always Love You
Sometimes as a creative, we just need to do something without rhyme or reason to spark creativity and just make. This was one of those projects.
What started as helping a friend learn some new block creation and teaching her how to read the patterns, and not be intimidated by different blocks; turned into this sweet little baby play mat.
I gathered some scrap fat quarters and fabric pieces that coordinated and we set out making a bunch of different blocks.
Blocks included: card trick, 9 patch, bear paw, log cabin, rail fence, pinwheel, disappearing 9 patch and a few others. All 16 blocks are different – but look so cute together.
Threw those together with some sashing, quilted it with wave stitches, on a bright and fun flannel backing.
