Morning Flight

This quilt uses all fabrics I already had on hand – I challenged myself to use only things in one of my favorite colorways, that I already had, including the background whites. They all appear to just be white in the photograph, but up close, there are a variety of different white on white/cream fabrics used. There are florals and geometrics, and solids in a variety of shades of teal & turquoise, peach & pink, and even some gray.

The pattern I used was written for 10″ squares, so I just made my own.

The quilting design is a random all over pattern. Swirls, paisley, flowers, feathers – everything. It ended up having such a nice drapey texture and is one of the couch favorites because of it’s oversized-ness.
