Under the Western Sky
Choosing the fabrics for this special make was probably the most difficult part. I knew before I started I wanted it to be something that would be loved for the long haul but that also “fit” the recipient. I don’t always start a project with someone special in mind to gift it to, so for me, making sure it’s perfect when I do is so important to me.
The pattern, Tahoe by Cluck Cluck Sew was absolutely the perfect pattern for this line of fabric. You’ll notice several quilts with her patterns. She does a great job with clear instructions, from cutting to piecing, they are fabulous.
After finding the perfect fabrics and pattern everything came together so beautifully.
This is one of the first quilts that I did a full free-motion quilting on. I made a stencil on the Cricut, and went to work. It takes so much time putting the pattern on compared to the actual stitching. A true labor of love that part!
