Sunflower Hollow Quilting

Bloom & Twirl

I had used part of a jelly roll to make a baby quilt and had more than half of the roll leftover when I decided I would take a jelly roll friendly pattern, and just adapt it to use the amount of strips I had left.

What came from that is this super sweet and very girly quilt. It’s not quite a throw size, but bigger than a crib size.

The pattern is found in a book called “Oh, Happy Day” by Cori Yoder. The piecing looks complicated, but it’s actually very simple. The complex look comes from the way the blocks are actually laid out.

Adding borders is a great way to increase size or frame your design.
