Aurora’s Path

Another variation of the Arkansas Crossroads pattern. The pattern I used was called Briar Rose, coincidentally my favorite Disney princess is Sleeping Beauty, otherwise known as Briar Rose.
The colors in this line of fabric from Lella Boutique is absolutely one of my favorite. Soft peach and pinks, with mossy green and gray. Very country chic. I backed this one with more of that super soft cuddly minky fabric and quilted it with my sit down machine. It was one of my first attempts at structured free motion (meaning I didn’t use a pattern or stencil, but instead free motioned flowers in the middle of the patchwork blocks and did a little swirly doo-dad in the X’s.
